Be refreshed in the Lord

The recent Middle College evenings were a fantastic success, with yummy food, warm company, and great entertainment. It was neat to see the children stepping up in the hosting of the evening, and sharing their servant hearts. Thank you to Mr Graham, Mrs Kelly and the parents that supported this wonderful occasion.

A huge thank you to our students, parents, staff and Board members who contributed to our Special Character Review earlier this week. The reviewers were very impressed with the responses they received and will now reflect on their findings and write a final report for the Board.

During the first week of the holidays our teaching staff will be attending the Christian Schools’ Teachers Conference at Kingsway School. This is a wonderful chance for us to fellowship and reflect on what it means to teach in a Christian school. There is a great range of practical workshops, and networking opportunities.

Our Learning Conferences will be held on Thursday July 27th, 2-8pm. On-line booking for these is now available. Please ensure you make a time to talk to teachers.

It has been another wintery term, with the usual bouts of sickness affecting us all. We are half-way through the year and at that point where it is time to reflect and refresh. Reflection allows us to take a breath, consider where we are on our journey and set some new goals going forward. Refreshment comes from the Lord. Although we might be able to find rest in our daily lives we need to go to Jesus to refill out tanks. Find time these holidays to stop, and listen, for the Lord’s refreshing wisdom.

Graeme Whitehead, Principal

“The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honour to his name.”

Psalms 23:1-3 (NLT)
