His Kingdom has come
Next week we are fundraising for Leprosy NZ. This was inspired by ex-student, Justine Milina, who visited Nepal on a scholarship earlier this year. On Wednesday our senior students will be selling cupcakes, and Friday we have a gold coin mufti day.
We congratulate Zane Hunt for winning a scholarship to attend the national Astronomy conference in Christchurch in May. We wish him well and know he will enjoy exploring God’s creation in the heavens.
Next week four staff, Mrs Grammer, Mrs Smith, Mr Keyte and myself, will be attending the NZACS Leaders’ Conference in Rotorua. This is an opportunity to meet with leaders from other Christian schools and grow our leadership capacity.
During the school holidays you are invited to join us as we take part in the ANZAC Day dawn parade on Thursday, April 25th. We will be meeting at 5.40am in Alexander St, opposite the RSA for the walk to
Laurie Hall Park, where the ceremony will be held, and our students will lay a wreath.
Jesus returned for 40 days after his resurrection, and interacted with his disciples and many others. He had more to share and prepare before his return to the Father. The veil had been ripped from top to bottom, allowing God to once again inhabit our earth through His Son and later, Holy Spirit. He was walking amongst us, in his new body, painting a picture of what was to come. He is with us still.
‘And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
