We plant, we water, but God does the growing

Welcome back to our final term of 2018. As always it will be busy, and will fly past. We expect the   weather to warm as we work through Spring. We are still getting enrolment enquiries and encourage you to contact the office soon if you have a child to enrol for 2019, or know someone that is considering this. With our current roll at 211, and our roll cap at 230, this could be reached early next year.

Jennifer Reiches, from Biola University, California, USA, has settled into Room 1, and the Northland       climate. This is Jennifer’s final teaching placement and we are blessed to have her with us for the term.

In our roles as parents and teachers we plant seeds daily in the lives of children. We set the example, share wisdom and provide guidance. We are the fertile ground for others to grow within. However, it is God that does the heavy lifting. He takes the seed and grows it through the Holy Spirit and Jesus in us. Our reward does not come from the acclaim or recognition of others, it comes from knowledge that we are doing God’s Kingdom work here on Earth. We are His servants, expressing the love of Jesus to the world. Although, at times, we may be weary or disheartened with circumstance, we must always return to God’s purpose for us and His Word, for guidance. I pray that you find hope in God’s trust, in you.

“Now he who plants and he who waters are one; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.”

1 Corinthians 3: 8-9 (NASB)
