The Lord is our shepherd

As we grow as a school in providing a Christian education option in Whangarei our enemy will not be silent or slow in his response. He will use whoever, or whatever, he can to unsettle us. The circumstances of our fallen world will assail us through sickness, inappropriate behaviours, relationship issues,  unfortunate gossip, bad decision-making, and unforgiveness. This is part of the ongoing Spiritual attack we will encounter as the Lord works through Excellere College for His children. His Grace is sufficient for us all, and we must press into His love to see us through the season ahead. I ask that you always keep  Excellere College in your prayers to strengthen the protection our God provides.

One aspect from my Sabbatical that I found in many schools was an overseas Missions trip. This allowed a group of seniors to experience another culture, share their servant heart, and grow in their own Faith journey. We are currently exploring opportunities for Mission to become a part of our culture. If you have any experience in this area we would love to hear from you.

A group of our students contributed to the Kids 4 Kids concert on Monday night. Their voices added to the beautiful singing. We thank Mrs Smith for organising this, and parents for their support.

With the recent wet weather we have our usual areas of puddling appearing around the school. We have cordoned off some areas from our building works but are asking students to stay out of the puddles and mud, watch slippery surfaces, and play safe games around the school. Please support us by reminding your children of these guidelines, and praying for ‘dry’.

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgement you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord.”

Isaiah 54: 17 (NASB)
