Prayer is powerful

We are experiencing a tsunami of interest in enrolling in Excellere for 2020. This is a reflection of the   dedication and love of our teachers, and the commitment to learning of our students. This all makes     Excellere College a desirable place to learn. If you have other children to enrol or know of someone     considering us for next year please make contact with our office soon. We only have limited spaces in some classes.

We heard this week that we have been successful with our roll cap increase, so we can bust through the 230 barrier and offer a Christian education option for more families in Whangarei. This is an answer to prayer and a wonderful challenge for us all in the years ahead. We thank NZCPT, and Warren Peat, for their efforts on our behalf.

During my Sabbatical I was blessed to be able to talk to a number of Year 13 students completing their schooling career. I was heartened by the large number that had a service aspect to their plans, either through a gap year, a missions adventure or a vocational journey with a servant aspect. Their Christian character was evident in their choices, and a reflection of the culture of their school.

Next week a group of students are heading north to Panguru for a Noho Marae stay. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience Marae life in a Christian environment, in the heart of the early New Zealand missionary field, North Hokianga.

“Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.”
