Seek rest, in the Lord

We are experiencing tremendous roll growth at the moment which means that for 2020 we already have full classes in Years’ 3-6, with very limited spaces in other year levels. We have swapped rooms for our Year One and Two classes for next term to cater for this growth, and are looking at how we make the best use of our current spaces beyond 2020. As we enter this new season of growth we ask that you continue to pray for Excellere College, that we are blessed with abundance, support, and our decisions honour the purpose that God has for us here.

Our Year 11 students had a fantastic time at  OPC Great Barrier this week. Although buffeted by high winds, and occasional rain they were able to continue with their activities which included a tramp/overnight stay in a hut on Mt Hobson on Tuesday.

Life Education will be back with us the first week of next term. This will include sessions with the Junior and Middle College around caring for our bodies, and dealing with feelings. We look forward to welcoming Nadine back again to deliver this programme.

2020 is the 40th anniversary of our school’s beginning. If you are interested in being on an organising group, or have a gifting to share, please contact Nat Brown on 022 4628 895 or, its natty

As we end Term Three I would like to thank all our staff for their energy and passion during the ‘winter’ term. It has been another busy term for us all, and we head into the holidays looking forward to some deserved rest. We pray that the next two weeks provides an opportunity to spend quality family time  together, reflect on achievements this term, and connect with the Lord.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.”
