Excellence in Learning

Our first week back this term began with rain and ended with sunshine. It was great to see students back into learning mode so quickly. The next few weeks will be busy for our senior students as they complete any internals and prepare for their exams. Please help create that calm environment at home that will support them at this stressful time.

We had the Life Education classroom with us this week. This is an annual event and looked forward to by our students. We thank Nadine for, once again, providing an interesting, relevant programme of life skills for our children.

This week local Christian school Principals had an invite from the local Church Ministers’ Association to join their monthly meeting. It was wonderful to be acknowledged and honoured by the group. They shared, prayed for us and emphasised the common mission field we all have in Whangarei.

This Sunday Mrs Smith has organised a Spring concert for our musical students. This is a celebration of their efforts this year, and an opportunity to perform amongst friends.

I would like to congratulate Ellah Patuawa on being elected as our new Student Trustee, and acknowledge the work of  Sarah Shortland in that role over the last year. It is a big responsibility bringing a student perspective to the governance of a school. We are blessed to have the calibre of student to take on this role.

2020 is the 40th anniversary of our school’s beginning. If you are interested in being on an organising group, or have a gifting to share, please contact Nat Brown on 022 4628 895 or, its natty j@hotmail.com.
