Blessed to be a child of God

We had a wonderful turnout for our transition morning on Tuesday. It was great to see so many of our new students come and spend some time getting to know us, and their new classmates.

Both of our Award events yesterday were an excellebration of the efforts of our students throughout the year. It was wonderful to see the support of our parents, and the joy on our childrens’ faces.

This year we farewell Lin Bachinger, our Hospitality teacher. Lin started here in 2008 and has  strengthened this subject, and added Barista to our programme. She has been a rock of Faith during her time with us and we bless her as she enters a new season. Melanie Osborne, our ESOL teacher, is also leaving us. Melanie has spent 2 years helping our students with their English understanding. She is a     gifted teacher and has a delightful manner with the children. We give her our blessings as she awaits her first child in the new year. We also farewell Amber Fairweather, who has been in our Food Technology area this year, and wish her well on the new adventure in her teaching.

2020 is the 40th anniversary of our school’s beginning. We are looking to celebrate this during term two next year. If you are interested in being on an organising group, or have a gifting to share, please contact Nat Brown on 022 4628 895 or,

As 2019 comes to a close for us we want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and happy New Year.    Although the wider world may be trying to minimise the reason for the season, we enter the holidays with a birthday party to celebrate. The arrival of Jesus, on earth, was historic and changed everything, for everybody. God, amongst us, at last. This season is a time to remember His sacrifice for us, reflect on the unending love that this provides, and our opportunity to show this same love to others. Be sure to find refreshment in His Word, and shine His light toward others.
