We are all God’s children

In a first for Excellere College we had three students compete in an equestrian event at Barge Park       yesterday. Fortunately they were already gifted in this pursuit and competed with skill and heart.

We had our first whole school assembly today. We revealed our House Leaders, and had some feedback from a group of students that attended an OPC leadership camp on Great Barrier Island during the       January holidays. We are already seeing the servant heart of our students, and are looking forward to a year of growth in this area.

Next week we have our annual class photos and our Year 7-13 Athletics day at Kensington Park. This is always a great event and we invite you to join the competitors on the track as the run, throw and jump the day away.

If you have any questions regarding NCEA  this year, please contact Mr Mackay at: ian.mackay@excellerecollege.school.nz

Jesus came to save us all, no exceptions. God always has his hand out, the invitation for salvation always available. All we have to do is say yes, accept the invitation and accept Jesus into our hearts. God doesn’t do ‘us and them’, He sees us all as His flock. If one of us gets lost along the way He will come to find us. Even though we may not recognise Him in the circumstance, or the person before us, He is ever-present in the world about us, His creation. We should never be surprised when God turns up…

Blessings
