Kia ora Excellere Whānau

Term 2 Start Date: 29 April 2024 @ 08:50

Drop Off Times in the Mornings
We are concerned that many students are being dropped off at school very early in the mornings. There is often no supervision available as staff are in meetings until 8:30am. From the start of Term 2 we ask that any students who arrive at school before 8:30am go to the school library. There will be limited adult supervision there. We recommend students no students are at school before 8am. Thank you for your cooperation.

Teacher Only Days
On another note we wanted to let you know that we are having two Teacher Only Days on Thursday 30th May and Friday 31st May. This will coincide with King’s Birthday weekend on Monday 3rd June. Therefore school will be closed for instruction after 3pm on Wednesday 29th May until Tuesday 4th June at 8:30am.

Blessings,
Andy Mouat
Tumuaki/Principal

Welcome to Excellere College

We are excited to be part of God’s purpose for Whangārei, and Northland. Our College vision, Excellence in learning; Christianity in living, provides the benchmark for our purpose. It clearly states the goal we have for our learning community.

Excellere College bases its learning journey around four major areas. These four aspects provide a foundation for all our learning decisions and development:

  • The Promise: To develop a sense of God’s purpose for our lives.
  • Relationship: To develop a sense of God’s love for us.
  • Guidance: To develop a sense of God’s plan through history.
  • Wisdom: To develop a sense of God’s Grace.

We have an unrelenting focus on student learning, which sees us exploring 21st century learning, constantly improving our use of formative evidence to inform teaching practice, seeking to grow the positive partnership we already have with parents, and embedding student voice and agency into our learning culture. We have developed a Student Graduate Profile which provides purpose and direction amongst students, parents and staff.

We exist in a wonderful semi-rural setting, surrounded by God’s creation and invite you to consider Excellere College as your school of choice. We have an exciting Twenty Year Plan that sees our school become a Chritian facility that will cater for over 1000 students.

We currently have some vacancies for further student enrolments so please make contact with the office to see if our Christian school is right for you and your family.

Yours in Christ

Andy Mouat
