We are excited to be part of God’s purpose for Whangarei, and Northland. Our College vision, Excellence in learning; Christianity in living, provides the benchmark for our purpose. It clearly states the goal we have for our learning community.
Excellere College bases its learning journey around four major aspects. These four aspects provide a foundation for all our learning decisions and development:
The Promise: To develop a sense of God’s purpose for our lives.
Relationship: To develop a sense of God’s love for us.
Guidance: To develop a sense of God’s plan through history.
Wisdom: To develop a sense of God’s Grace.
I am so excited to be appointed as the new principal of Excellere College from the start of 2023. This is a wonderful opportunity for me to give back to a community I care so deeply about.
I was born and bred in Whangārei and have a heart for our young people in Te Tai Tokerau. I lived away for a time and spent a number of years living and teaching in the UK. I have been Deputy Principal at Tauraroa Area School for the past 8 years. Prior to that I was also Deputy Principal at Maungatapere School. I worship at Elim Christian Centre with my wife Emma.
In my spare time I enjoy swimming, cycling, kayaking, gardening, reading and spending time with whānau and friends. I have also been known to sing with the basses in Opera North.
I look forward to meeting you all over the next few months. I pray you all have a wonderful Christmas and a safe New Year.
Yours in Christ, Andy Mouat
Three things will last forever – faith, hope, and love – and the greatest of these is love.
