Head Boy and Girl
The head boy and girl at Excellere College are responsible for providing leadership for the student body. They are selected after a rigorous application process and interview demonstrating their character, and commitment to the role. They meet regularly with the Principal, contribute to student initiatives and liaise with other student bodies.
The Head Boy and Girl for 2023 are Caleb Duinkerke and Amy Whitehead.
Whānau Leaders
We have four Whānau Groups at Excellere College, each named after the surrounding mountains (maunga) in Whangarei. The Whānau leaders organise House events, and co-ordinate others in their Whānau for the events. This involved running the inter house scavenger hunt, colouring competition, paper plane competition, school cross country, as well as a host of other sporting and cultural events.

School Council
Our School council comprises of two students from Year 6 to 13 for each year level. Council representatives are selected by their class. They are involved in organising and developing projects around the school, as a pathway for student voice, and future leadership in the school.

School Board Representative
School Board representative is selected through a student vote. The Student Trustee brings a student perspective to Board korero and decision making.
Our current Student Trustee is Melisa Tshuma.
