Laboratory Technician – Excellere College: Part-Time, 1 Day per Week (5hrs)

Excellere College, a Year 1–13 Christian Area School in Whangārei, is seeking a motivated and organised Laboratory Technician to support our Science Department. This position is for one day per week (5hrs) during term time, with occasional flexibility of hours for special projects or practical support.

The successful applicant will:

• Prepare, set up, and pack away materials and equipment for science experiments.
• Maintain chemical and equipment inventories, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Support teachers and students by creating a safe, efficient, and engaging practical learning environment.
• Uphold and model the Christian values that underpin the life and culture of Excellere College.

This role would suit someone with laboratory experience, strong organisational skills, and a heart for serving within a Christ-centred learning community. A background in school science environments would be an advantage but not essential.
