Note to Excellere College community

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

  John 13: 34-35 (NASB)

We now know that we are remaining at Level 4 beyond next Tuesday. This means that our school remains closed and distance learning will continue. Please take a deep breath, and realise that these decisions are made to provide the greatest degree of safety for us all.

As lockdown continues it is very important that all our students are in contact with their teachers, so please have them check google classroom, emails and any other form of communication staff are using. Please continue to encourage your children to keep in contact, attend Zooms that are scheduled, and keep up-to-date with their learning. This will make it easier to ‘hit the ground running’ when we all return to school.

When we do move to Level 3 only Year 1-10 children of essential workers, if they would be left home alone, are allowed to attend supervision at school. Therefore we need to identify who that might be. This will help us to have appropriate ‘bubbles’ in place at school as soon as possible, and also set up appropriate Health & Safety procedures.

If you are an essential worker, and will need to have your children at school at Level 3 please contact your child’s teacher. Please do not bring them to school until we have notified you that we are prepared.

 Blessings
