Note to Excellere College community

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.”

  Matthew 7: 7-8 (NASB)

We now know that we will reopen on Thursday this week, at Level 2. This will be the same as earlier this year, which involves the usual hygiene procedures, separate entrance/exit ways for Year One and Two (with a sign-in sheet for parents), and Year Three up, no face-to-face parental contact, and appropriate physical distancing. The Government’s recommendation is that masks may be worn in schools from 12yrs up, but are not required. This is a personal choice, for you, your children, and our staff, and we respect individual decisions on this. I will share a Level 2 Overview with you all tomorrow.

Our ‘bubble’ will continue for the next two days, for children of those essential workers that have made arrangements with us.

Please remember that at Level 2 children are dropped off in our carpark, with only Year One and Two parents able to take their children to their classroom down the designated pathway. Please drive slowly and safely around our carpark, watching for children at all times. Children will gather at the PE containers end of the carpark after school for pickup. We need to keep the traffic line moving, so please wait until you are fully into the carpark before you pick up your children. This also keeps them off a busy traffic area.

We are delighted that we can reopen and welcome back our whanau. After three weeks locked out of school, the gates will be open again and the buzz of learning heard at Excellere College.

Blessings
